As a Sophomore in 2000:
Finished the regular season on a high note, throwing
three perfect innings of relief in the finale against New York Tech
with a career-high six strikeouts...used primarily as a middle-inning
reliever...appeared in 12 games in relief with a total of 14.0 innings
pitched... allowed 19 hits, 17 runs, 15 earned, 14 walks and 24 strikeouts...had
an average of 15.4 strikeouts per nine innings... allowed one hit with
two strikeouts in one inning of work vs. Wake Forest...gave up one hit
in 1.1 scoreless innings against FAU...allowed two hits, one earned
run, two walks with three strikeouts in 1.1 innings at Florida...pitched
1.2 scoreless and hitless innings with two strikeouts against South
Florida ...threw 3.0 scoreless innings of relief in game #3 against
New York Tech with a career-high six strikeouts...did not appear in
the postseason.
As a Freshman in 1999:
Made eight appearances and two starts...recorded
a 1-1 record with a 3.93 ERA...saw 18.1 innings of action and struck
out 24...averaged 11.8 strikeouts per nine innings... made his first
collegiate appearance against Barry...in 3.1 innings over two games
against Princeton, struck out five and earned his first win in game
No. 2...allowed no runs in three innings with three strikeouts against
N.C. State...made final two appearances against Elon, striking out six
in three total innings.
