Made his collegiate debut in the home-opener vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi after being sidelined the previous two seasons... Notched a dramatic save in his first Rice outing by getting the only batter he faced to ground out to end the game when the Islanders had the tying run on deck in the ninth... Had the second-highest ratio of groundball outs-to-fly outs of any pitcher on the staff (3-to-1)... Worked an eye-opening career-long 4.1 innings against NCAA Regional-bound Dallas Baptist, holding the Patriots to no runs on just two hits while striking out two... Pitched a total of 8.0 innings against teams that went on to play in the NCAA Tournament, including Dallas Baptist, Texas and Houston... Held those Regional-bound teams to a .167 batting average for a 1.12 ERA... 2007: Sat out the entire season for the second year in a row... 2006: Did not play his first year with the program while recovering from an injury...
