HOUSTON - Each week during the 2010 season, the University of Houston baseball team will feature one member of its team as the Player of the Week. The goal of having a Player of the Week is to give fans a chance to get to know the Cougars off the field. This week's featured player is sophomore infielder Tom Wertz. The Sugar Land, Texas native saw action at three different positions last season, earning two starts. His career-high two hits came against Rice on Feb. 25.
